How safe is GoPay payment gateway

The safety plays a key role in everything we do here at GoPay. All payments made via GoPay payment gateway are secured to the highest safety standards and all transmitted and stored information is always encrypted.


PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) is a set of rules that should be followed by payment agents (incl. GoPay) hot to handle sensitive payment information in order to prevent their misuse. These rules are formed at the initiative of card associations like Visa and Mastercard. The rules are internationally recognized and each organization processing card payments has to follow them. In July 2016 we passed an independent audit confirming that GoPay infrastructure is consistent with the safety standard PCI DSS v 3.1. GoPay is the first Czech payment gateway which solution is certified to the strictest international safety standard.


When paying with GoPay payment gateway all of the information transmitted between parties is encrypted with 128-bit SSL/TLS. We regularly conduct audits of safety and applied certificates and also security authorities that we use.

Data management

Safety and manipulation of data, especially payment cards data, is one of the top priorities in GoPay. We only save payment cards with proven approach of the owner always in a combination with a verified mobile phone number and e-mail address.
