How does payment gateway registration work?

In this guide you will find a description of all the steps awaiting you before the GoPay payment gateway is launched on your portal.

To keep things simple, we divide them into:

  • Enquiry

  • Indicative offer

  • Acceptance of the offer

  • Portal check

  • Signing the contract

  • Identity verification

  • Integration check

  • Switch to the production environment

Before the payment gateway goes live, the commercial and technical aspects of the cooperation have to be resolved.

On the commercial side you can expect acceptance of the offer, a portal check, signing the contract and carrying out identity verification. To speed the process up, you can be identified even before the contract is signed.

You can start integrating the payment gateway, i.e. connecting the payment gateway technically to your portal, at any time before the contract is signed. At the same time as the contract is signed we will give you the test credentials for testing the payment gateway in test mode.

How long the whole process takes, from filling in the enquiry form to switching to the production environment, depends mainly on the method of integration. If you use an e-shop solution with a ready-made GoPay integration, you can usually start accepting payments within a week of submitting the enquiry.

If you choose your own GoPay integration, the whole process is extended by the time it takes you to carry out the integration.

GoPay tip: You will find the API for starting the payment gateway integration in the online documentation.
