I have installed and activated the GoPay+ add-on. How do I know everything is set up correctly?
Make sure you have carried out all the steps described in our guides:
if it is a new e-shop and you have not had the GoPay gateway active on it yet
if you have been using the old (GoPay) add-on so far.
Please pay particular attention to the Payment methods section. Make sure you have imported the payment methods and that you have made them visible in Settings -> Shipping and payment -> Payment methods.
What happens if I do not switch to the new add-on?
The new add-on is managed by us – we will keep it up to date and add new functionality to it. The old add-on is managed by Shoptet and we cannot predict what plans they have for it. They will not develop it further, however. So far we have no information that the old add-on is due to stop working in the near future.
How do I set up payment methods for the GoPay+ add-on?
Go to the add-on settings: Connections -> GoPay+. There you will find the Displayed payment methods section. Choose the display variant and click Import. Then go to Settings -> Shipping and payment -> Payment methods.
New payment methods have appeared there – e.g. "Online card payment", "Online bank transfer", Google Pay, bitcoin and so on. When you open them, the payment type should be "GoPay+".
You can mark these payment methods as "Visible", which displays them in the basket and lets customers pay with them.
CAUTION!
A common mistake is to open the payment method from the previous add-on (GoPay) and only change the Payment type to "GoPay+". This is a mistake and can lead to situations where the payment gateway does not open. In that case only one payment method will be displayed in the basket:
This is an incorrect state. Please follow the procedure above – that is, import the payment methods from the add-on.
What is the difference between the original add-on and GoPay+?
In GoPay+ you can set up test mode and you can edit the names and logos of the individual payment methods displayed in the order basket. You can also switch the individual methods on or off directly in the Shoptet administration.
We will always keep the GoPay+ add-on up to date, which is no longer the case with the original add-on.
What do I have to meet to activate GoPay+ successfully?
To activate the new add-on and make it work correctly, your e-shop needs a secure HTTPS connection (TLS certificate) and the website has to be on a registered domain. The e-shop in Shoptet has to be run under the same company registration number as the one your payment gateway is registered under at GoPay.
How do I set up an additional payment link?
In the Connections -> GoPay+ -> Other settings section you can set up the sending of a payment link for incomplete payments and the validity of that link:
Which languages can payment methods be imported in?
Payment methods can be imported in these languages: Czech, Slovak, English, Hungarian, German and French. If you want to display payment methods in another language, you have to rewrite the payment method names manually in Settings -> Shipping and payment -> Payment methods; we would point out, however, that the gateway is displayed by default in the language imported.
Why are the GoPay+ add-on settings not displayed?
For the GoPay+ add-on to display correctly, all ad and tracking blockers have to be switched off. This applies both to all extensions (such as AdBlock and similar) and to blockers built into the browser itself (the shield icon on the left in the address bar).
Is the switch to GoPay+ without an outage?
Yes, the switch from the original add-on to GoPay+ is without any payment gateway outage. For a smooth switch, follow the guide How do I switch from the GoPay add-on to GoPay+ in Shoptet?
GoPay is displayed in the basket as a single payment method. How can I display the payment methods individually?
This is probably because you have not imported the payment methods. Instead you have only edited the GoPay payment method from the old add-on in Settings -> Shipping and payment -> Payment methods. If the payment method is displayed in the basket as in the following picture, you have not proceeded correctly:
Follow the article How do I switch from the GoPay add-on to GoPay+ in Shoptet? from the Payment methods section. You need to import the payment methods from the GoPay+ add-on and then make them visible in the Payment methods settings.
The payment gateway does not open once the order is completed.
See the answers to "How do I set up payment methods for the GoPay+ add-on?" and "GoPay is displayed in the basket as a single payment method. How can I display the payment methods individually?"
You have probably set up the GoPay payment method incorrectly and have not imported the methods from the add-on. Please follow the answer to "How do I set up payment methods for the GoPay+ add-on?"
I see error 403 in the GoPay+ add-on settings.
If you see error 403 (Access denied) when going to Connections -> GoPay+, it is probably one of the following reasons:
Your e-shop is not secured with a TLS certificate (HTTPS)
Your e-shop is not deployed on a registered domain
Please contact Shoptet about both of these matters.
When connecting the add-on I see the error "E-shop authorisation failed"
If you see this error after entering your EVČ, it is a mismatch of company registration numbers. The EVČ you entered is registered with us under a different company registration number from the one your e-shop is run under at Shoptet. Either change the operator at Shoptet or at GoPay so that the operator of the payment gateway and of the e-shop match. If it is an exceptional situation or you are currently switching from one company registration number to another, please let us know at [email protected]. Please state your Shoptet ID (you will find it in the top right corner of the administration) and the EVČ you want it paired with.
When importing payment methods I get the error message "Server Error"
Check whether the error message “No production codes have been assigned to your e-shop.” is displayed at the top of the add-on settings. If so, let GoPay know at [email protected].
