Settlement is the process by which we transfer the payments you have received to your bank account. The payments transferred are reduced by the fees set.
The Settlement document is used for clear accounting of the fees. The settlement document is available in XML format and PDF format. You generate both formats in your business account (Business account > Settlement > Settlement detail/more > Report/XML), see the article Settlement settings in the GoPay business account.
You can view a sample settlement in the attachment to the article.
What does the settlement document contain?
Description of the PDF structure
The settlement document is divided into two parts:
– basic information about the settlement
– details of the individual payments by payment method
The first part of the settlement gives all the business information, including contact details and the number of the bank account the funds are paid out to. The settlement number is always used as the variable symbol of the settlement payment.
💡 GoPay tip:
A settlement can be sent to the contractually agreed bank account in several payments (but at most three). These payments have the same variable symbol, corresponding to the settlement number, so that the funds settled can be matched to a specific settlement.
The settlement period is the period the settlement is carried out for. Settlement can be set to various frequencies – daily, weekly, monthly – and a settlement limit can also be set. If, for example, you have daily settlement set with a minimum amount of CZK 10,000, the settlement will only be carried out when the amount set is in the account, regardless of the settlement frequency set. You can also carry out a settlement manually, outside the settlement period set, from the GoPay business account interface.
What does it mean that “the Remaining amount of the settlement will be transferred once GoPay's partners pay”?
It means that the payments are not yet covered by our partner (a bank, mobile operator and so on). We therefore have not received these payments yet and cannot send them to you. As soon as we receive the payments from our partners, we will send them to your account.
Description of the fee breakdown
The interchange fee (IF) is the commission received by the specific banking institution that issued the payment card in question. This fee category applies only to the “Payment card” payment method.
The card scheme fee (KA) is the commission received by the specific card company (e.g. VISA or MasterCard) that processed the payment with the payment card in question. This fee category applies only to the “Payment card” payment method.
Other fees (OP) is a fee divided between the banking institutions and other companies that took part in processing the specific payment transaction. This fee category applies to all payment methods.
Together these fee categories make up the total payment processing fee.
The following pages of the settlement give the Payment overview by payment method. For each payment method a list of payments is given which you can identify by the order number (ID) or the counterparty, the date and the amount; the total amount for the specific payment method and the volume of payments less fees are also given. For each payment the percentage
fees (% OP) and transaction fees (tr. OP) are also given; for the “Payment card” payment method the fees are also extended by the Interchange fees (IF) and the card scheme fees (KA).
