How do I send a payment from my GoPay account?

You can send a payment from your GoPay account in several ways:

  • a payment to another GoPay account user (“payment to an e-mail”)

  • a payment to a bank

Payment to an e-mail

If you want to send a payment to another GoPay personal account user, use the "Payments to an e-mail" option. The procedure is simple:

  1. Log in to your GoPay account and, in the accounts section, select “Send”.

  2. Select “Payment to a GoPay account”.

  3. Fill in the recipient's e-mail address (the e-mail their GoPay account is registered to) and the amount. You can also fill in a variable symbol and a note, but they are not compulsory. Then click “Send".

  4. You will receive a four-digit code at your registered phone number to confirm the transaction. Type the code into the fields indicated.

  5. Confirmation that the transaction has been sent will be displayed.

A payment to an e-mail is processed practically immediately.

Payment to a bank

You can only make a payment to a bank to a verified bank account. The procedure is as follows:

  1. Log in to your GoPay account. In the accounts section, select the account you will send the payment from. Click "Send".

  2. Select “Payment to a bank account”.

  3. Select the bank account and enter the amount. The variable symbol and the note are not compulsory. Then click “Send”.

  4. You will receive a four-digit code at your registered phone number to confirm the transaction. Type the code into the fields indicated.

  5. Confirmation that the transaction has been sent will be displayed.

Once the payment has been sent, a payment order will be created and the payment will be processed on the following working day after it is submitted. Payments are always sent from GoPay's central bank account, which for CZK is Komerční banka and for EUR VÚB banka.

💡 GoPay tip:
For a payment to a bank account you need to allow for a fee for sending a bank payment.
