A PSD2 payment is a new type of bank transfer based on the European PSD2 payments directive. The aim of this payment method is to make bank transfers simpler and faster.

A PSD2 transfer works on a simple principle – the customer allows access to their bank account and makes a payment from it. Thanks to this the payment is confirmed immediately and is credited to your GoPay business account just as fast. It is a compromise between an offline and an online bank transfer.

An ordinary bank transfer is still a very popular payment method. Thanks to our own GoPay banking network (at selected large Czech banks) we offer you an ordinary bank transfer with fast confirmation that the payment has been made (usually within one hour). The payment can be submitted at any time, but it is processed during the bank's office hours given in the following table.

A QR payment is a fast and convenient way of paying where all you do is scan a QR code in your mobile banking. It is a standard bank transfer where the code contains all the payment details needed, so there is no manual filling in. This way of paying makes online purchases as simple as possible and is very popular.
