Do you need to return a payment to a customer's payment card or bank account?
It is easy.
Use the refund function.
From the GoPay business account environment you can return any payment a customer has made with you.
You can return either the whole payment or just part of it. A partial cancellation is useful when a customer orders several goods at once and needs money returned for only part of the purchase.
You can cancel payments for these payment methods:
card payment
bank transfer
online banking button
deferred payments (Twisto, Skip Pay)
GoPay account
PayPal – only via the E-payment overview tab
If you want to return a payment that was paid using a payment method other than those above, write to us at [email protected].
How to do it
1. Go to your business account. After logging in, click the "Business accounts" tab.
2. Select the specific business account on which the payment you want to return was made.
💡 GoPay tip:
If you have only one GoPay business account active in the system, this intermediate step will not be displayed, so continue with the next step.
3. Click "Movements" and select the payment you want to return from the movements displayed.
4. In the detail of the selected payment, check that it really is the payment you want to return to the customer. Then click the "Refund" button.
5. The payment refund form will then be displayed.
6. Enter the amount you want to return to the customer in the form. In the note, give a description of the return, e.g. return at the customer's request. Click the "Confirm" button.
The detail of the returned payment will be displayed – check the amount returned and the note there and click the "Confirm" button. Confirming returns the payment to the original payment method.
When will the customer receive the returned payment?
The customer will receive the returned payment within 3 working days.
