How to install the WooCommerce plugin

Installation via WP admin (recommended)

  1. In WP administration, go to Plugins -> Add New
  2. Type "GoPay" in the search field, look for plugin called "GoPay for WooCommerce" by "GoPay" and click on Install Now and after installation click on Activate
  3. To enable the plugin go to settings, see below

Installation using a ZIP file

Downloading the ZIP file

GoPay plugin for WooCommerce can be downloaded:

  1. From the official WordPress plugin storage HERE

Installing the downloaded file

  1. In WP admin, go to Plugins -> Add New
  2. Click on Upload Plugin
  3. Choose the downloaded ZIP file and click on Install Now
  4. On the next screen, click on Activate Plugin
  5. To enable the plugin go to settings, see below

How to enable the WooCommerce plugin

  1. After installing the plugin, a new item in the left-hand menu will appear called GoPay gateway - click on it
  2. On the screen that appears on the right side click on Settings
  3. Type in your Client ID, Client Secret and GoID (sandbox or production)
  4. If you want to use production mode, switch the Test mode off
  5. Save
  6. Wait a moment for the request to be processed. If the credentials are correct, the rest of plugin settings will appear
  7. On the top of the page, turn the Enable/Disable switch on

Plugin settings

Going through the process above will take you to the settings. If you need to return to the settings later, click on GoPay gateway in the menu on the left and then on Settings

  1. Enable/Disable - whether the plugin should be active
  2. Inline Payment Gateway - whether the gateway should open in Inline mode
  3. Title - the name of the payment method in checkout
  4. Description - the description of the payment method in checkout
  5. GoID - given to you by GoPay
  6. Client ID - given to you by GoPay
  7. Client Secret - given to you by GoPay
  8. Test mode - whether the payment gateway should use sandbox. If so, the previous 3 credentials need to be sandbox credentials. Otherwise they need to be production credentials
  9. Default language - default language used on the payment gateway
  10. Enabled Shipping Methods - shipping methods for which the payment gateway will be available
  11. Enabled Countries - countries for which the payment gateway will be available
  12. Bank Selection - if active, there will be only one option for payment by bank account in the checkout. The customer chooses the specific bank on the payment gateway. Otherwise the customer chooses the specific bank in the checkout.
  13. Enable GoPay payment methods - payment methods that you have enabled with GoPay and want to enable them for the plugin
  14. Enable Banks - banks that you have enabled with GoPay and want to enable them for the plugin
  15. Retry Payment Method - if active and a customer's payment is not successful, they will be able to only retry using the original payment method. Otherwise they can choose a different payment method for retrying.
