  2. The Campaign means the marketing campaign announced under these Terms.

  3. The Client means a participant in the Campaign who, in the period specified in paragraph 3.1 of these
Terms, concludes a contract with GOPAY by signing the Client Registration Form in the GoPay payment system and who at the same time meets the rules of the Campaign under Chapter 2 of these Terms

General information

  1. The Campaign is open to any self-employed person, company, contributory organisation, municipality or authority with its registered office in the Slovak Republic that, in the last 12 months, has had no contract for accepting payment cards at a payment terminal and has not operated a sales portal (e-shop) with an implemented payment gateway.

  2. Clients must have information about the ‚Slovakia Pays by Card‘ project on their business portal (e-shop) in the form of the template in the annex to these terms.

Rules of the Campaign

  1. The Campaign runs from 1 April 2024 00:00 to 31 October 2026 23:59, unless it is ended earlier by GOPAY.

  2. For the duration of the Campaign, GOPAY will provide the Client with preferential fees for the card payment method according to the Registration Form, for a maximum of 6 months from signing the Registration Form and up to a monthly turnover of EUR 2,000 on payment cards.

  3. Even during the Campaign, the relevant fees where the monthly turnover on payment cards exceeds EUR 2,000 will be charged at the fee corresponding to the level of the fee for the payment card payment method given in the registration form, and the fee calculated this way will be deducted by GOPAY from the Client's GoPay account.

  4. Once the 6-month period has elapsed, all payment card transactions will be charged at the fee corresponding to the level of the fee for the payment card payment method given in the Registration Form.

  5. The fees for payment methods other than card payments, as well as the fees for returning payments (cancellations), returning payments for card payments (chargebacks) and settlement, are charged at the level given in the registration form, or according to the GoPay Payment Gateway Fee Schedule.

Final provisions

  1. Matters not regulated by these Terms are governed by the relevant provisions of the Terms of use of the GoPay account or of the Terms of use of the GoPay Payment Gateway.

  2. If at any time during the Campaign, or even after it ends, it is found that by giving incomplete or incorrect information the Client did not meet the conditions of the Campaign in whole or in part, GOPAY has the right to withdraw from this Campaign immediately and to charge the merchant retrospectively for the fees that were not charged under the Campaign.

  3. If at any time during the Campaign it is found that the commercial and unregulated payment cards the Client accepts exceed a share of 4 % among the other types of cards accepted, GoPay has the right to withdraw from this Campaign and to offer the Client a price corresponding to that share of commercial and unregulated cards.

  4. These Terms are available online for the duration of the Campaign and for a further 30 days from the day it
ends, on the GoPay website. We reserve the right to amend these Terms unilaterally at any time and to publish such a decision in the same way as the Terms were originally published. Every such decision takes effect on the day (at the end of the day) on which it is published.

  5. The consequence of the Campaign ending is that payments made after the day on which the end of the Campaign took effect will no longer be subject to the discount. The ending of the Campaign does not affect the rights and obligations of GOPAY and of Clients which by their nature are to survive the end of the Campaign.

  6. These Terms take effect on 1 April 2024.
