Scope
The AIS rules set out the rules governing the use of the account information service by the GoPay Payment System for its Clients (AIS-GoPay).
Description of the AIS-GoPay service
You become entitled to use the AIS-GoPay service as a further function of the GoPay Payment System at the moment you confirm that you agree to these AIS terms.
The account information service (AIS-GoPay) consists in GOPAY collecting and communicating information about your payment account over the internet on your instruction.
The AIS-GoPay service is intended in particular for obtaining information about the status of your payment accounts, the individual payment transactions carried out and consolidated information about the accounts.
Using the AIS-GoPay service
You acknowledge and accept that the AIS-GoPay service is only one of the functions of the GoPay Payment System and that using it is purely a matter of your free choice.
GoPay will make your personalised security credentials available only to you and to the party that issued them (usually your bank).
The procedure for using the AIS-GoPay service is as follows:
You give your consent to the use of the AIS-GoPay service
If you are here for the first time or have not used the AIS-GoPay or PIS-GoPay service for a certain period (usually 90 days), you are redirected to your bank's pages to obtain authentication data
Immediately after the steps under paragraph 6.3 have been carried out, GOPAY sends a request for information about the payment account to your bank.
Where there are legitimate reasons, your bank will inform you that the request has been refused.
Once the payment order has been received by your bank:
You are provided with information enabling the payment transactions on your account to be identified
You are provided with information about the amounts of the payment transactions
You are provided with information about the account status
The fee for the AIS-GoPay service is given in the Fee Schedule, unless agreed otherwise.
Security measures
The AIS-GoPay service may be temporarily deactivated where we come to suspect unauthorised or fraudulent use of the payment instrument or of your personalised security credentials.
The service may also be suspended in other cases that constitute a breach of the Terms and Conditions or of the Security Rules.
Limited availability of the services
The AIS-GoPay service is not available during operational outages or planned maintenance windows.
Final provisions
We are entitled to amend the AIS rules unilaterally according to the rules and conditions set out in this article. You agree to this entitlement.
The AIS rules are issued in electronic form and are available on our website.
Matters not regulated here in the AIS rules are further governed by the PA and the Terms and Conditions.
With any disputes that may arise between us and you when using the AIS-GoPay service, you can also turn to the Financial Arbitrator of the Czech Republic (Czech Act No. 229/2002 Coll., as amended), with its registered office at Legerova 1581/69, 110 00 Prague 1. Your right to turn to the courts is not affected by this; disputes under the Contract are heard and decided before the courts of the Czech Republic, unless mandatory legislation requires otherwise. Disputes between you and us can also be resolved through mediation under Czech Act No. 202/2012 Coll., on mediation.
The supervisory authority for our activities in the area of combating money laundering is the Czech National Bank, with its registered office at Na Příkopě 28, 115 03 Prague 1, Czech Republic. The supervisory authority for all other regulated activities is the National Bank of Belgium, with its registered office at de Berlaimontlaan 3, 1000 Brussels, Belgium. The AIS rules take effect on 1 April 2025.
