About us
The company GOPAY means the company GoPay Czech, odštěpný závod zahraniční právnické osoby Worldline NV, Kingdom of Belgium, with its registered office at Senovažné nám. 1736, 370 01 České Budějovice, company registration number: 22177469, registered in the Commercial Register maintained by the Regional Court in České Budějovice, Section A, Insert 11596. The terms “we”, “us”, “our” and similar used in these Terms and Conditions have the same meaning. GOPAY is a payment institution within the meaning of the Payments Act and operates the GoPay Payment System.
Basic information
These rules (the “Cookies rules”) govern how we approach the processing of cookies in the GoPay Payment System (you can find out what “cookies” are here). In doing so we follow Czech Act No. 110/2019 Coll., on personal data processing (the ‚PDPA‘), and Regulation (EU) 2016/679 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (the ‚GDPR‘).
When processing cookies we take care to ensure that no harm is caused to the rights of natural persons in connection with the processing of personal data. At the same time we are obliged to comply with the provisions of the relevant legislation and to apply proportionate measures to protect the legal order, democratic society and its specific important interests, as set out below.
How do we process cookies?
We process cookies for the purpose of the legitimate interest of the operator of the GoPay Payment System. Cookies let us measure traffic and compile statistics about your behaviour on the website. This allows us to monitor and improve the functionality and security of the GoPay Payment System.
Cookies for measurement and for the functioning of the website are kept only for the time strictly necessary for the website to function and for statistics. You will find the individual processing periods in the table below.
You can also use the website in a mode that does not allow data about your behaviour to be collected – simply change your web browser settings or contact us at [email protected], tel.: +420 387 685 123. You will also find information on how to set up your browser and restrict or allow the processing of cookies here.
Alternatively, you can object to the collection based on our legitimate interest by writing to [email protected]. We will handle your objection within 1 month of receiving it. If, however, you object to the processing of cookies necessary for the website to function, we cannot then guarantee the full functionality and compatibility of our Payment System.
Cookies collected in order to measure website traffic and compile statistics that are passed to third parties are assessed as an aggregate whole and therefore in an anonymous form that does not allow you to be identified.

Final provisions
By continuing to use the functions of the GoPay Payment System you express your free, specific, informed and unambiguous indication of will that you understand the processing of your personal data under these Cookies rules and that you have been duly informed and instructed about the processing of your personal data.
We are entitled to amend these Cookies rules unilaterally in accordance with applicable legislation, and you agree to this entitlement.
If we amend the Cookies rules, we are obliged to notify all registered users of the GoPay Payment System of the change in advance by an e-mail message containing a link to the new Cookies rules.
The Cookies rules are issued in electronic form and are available on the GOPAY website.
The Cookies rules take effect on 1 April 2025.
