Terms of the Pay by Mastercard and win an iPhone promotion

Definitions

  1. GoPay means the company GoPay Czech odštěpný závod, with its registered office at Senovážné nám. 1736, 370 01 České Budějovice, Company ID: 22177469, entered in the Commercial Register kept by the Regional Court in České Budějovice, section A, insert 11596, Company ID 22177469. Terms such as “we”, “us”, “our” and the like used in these Terms have the same meaning.

  2. The Competition means the competition announced under these Terms.
    ​

  3. A Contestant means a participant in the competition, that is, a person paying at the GoPay payment gateway who, during the period specified, makes a payment with a Mastercard payment card issued in the Czech Republic or Slovakia using the Click to Pay payment method.
    ​

  4. The Terms mean these rules of the competition. They are the only document governing the rules of the competition.
    ​

  5. The Prize means an iPhone 17, 256 GB. If stocks are insufficient, we reserve the right to provide a different type or variant of iPhone of comparable value.

General information

  1. The promoter and organiser of the competition is GoPay Czech, odštěpný závod WORLDLINE NV.
    ​

  2. The competition is open to anyone who holds a Mastercard payment card issued in the Czech Republic or Slovakia and uses that card to make a payment through the GoPay payment gateway using the Click to Pay method in the period from 1 November 2026 00:00 to 31 December 2026 23:59.

  3. Where a Contestant is under 18, GoPay is entitled to request at any time written confirmation that the Contestant has the written consent of their legal guardian to take part in the competition, in accordance with Section 32 of the Civil Code. If such confirmation is not submitted, GoPay is entitled to exclude that Contestant from the Competition. In that case the entitlement to the Prize ceases to exist and the Prize passes to the next Contestant drawn.

  4. Employees of GoPay and their family members are excluded from taking part in the Competition.

Rules of the competition

  1. The Competition runs from 1 November 2026 00:00 to 31 December 2026 23:59.

  2. The Competition is evaluated by individual calendar months. From all the payments in the “Paid” status made in the given month, 1 winning payment is drawn.

  3. The draw takes place within 10 days of the end of each month. Each payment is assigned a random number and the one payment with the lowest number is marked as the winning one.
    ​

  4. Procedure in the case of a win: GoPay contacts the payer drawn by e-mail asking whether they are interested in taking part in the competition. If GoPay receives explicit consent, it sends the winner a link to an acceptance form where they confirm their consent to take part and add the delivery details required.

    1. The entitlement to the prize arises where:

      1. the payment was drawn,

      2. the winner confirmed their interest in taking part in the competition (acceptance of the prize),

      3. the winner provided the necessary delivery details within the given period.

    2. If the winner does not confirm the acceptance form within 10 days, the prize is offered to the payer of the next payment drawn.

    3. The prize will be sent by post within 30 days of the acceptance form being received.

    4. GoPay will pay the withholding tax under Act No. 586/1992 Coll. on behalf of the winner.

Processing of personal data

  1. The data is processed solely for the purpose of:

    1. organising the competition,

    2. delivering the prize,

    3. evidencing that the competition was run properly.

  2. Scope of the processing:

    1. e-mail address,

    2. payment identification,

    3. first name and surname (winners only),

    4. delivery address (winners only)
      ​

  3. The winner's data is processed for 30 days from the receipt of the reply to the information e-mail sent to the winner, because this is necessary for the Prize to be delivered to the winner without error. Once this period has elapsed, the Winner's personal data is deleted.
    ​

  4. GoPay hereby undertakes that the personal data will not be used for any other marketing or commercial activity of GoPay and will not be passed on to third parties either.

Final provisions

  1. GoPay is not liable for technical difficulties, delays in delivery or damage arising in connection with the use of the prize. The prize cannot be exchanged for money.

  2. These terms are effective from 1 November 2026 and apply for the whole duration of the competition. We reserve the right to amend the terms unilaterally at any time or to end the competition.
