How do I pay by bank transfer?

A standard bank transfer is a payment method where you make the payment from your internet banking. Unlike an online bank transfer, no details are pre-filled for you – you have to enter everything manually. You can make it easier for yourself by using a QR code.

Once the payment goes through, you are redirected back to the payment gateway, which shows you the result and sends confirmation of the payment by email.

How to do it

1. Open the payment gateway on the merchant's page
2. Select your bank from the list of supported banks. The payment details will be shown. You then enter these details in your banking.
3. Sign in to your internet banking. Enter the details shown by the payment gateway:

  • the recipient's account number

  • the amount

  • the variable symbol (payment reference)

If you would rather not enter the details manually and your phone can read QR codes, use the QR payment option.

4. Confirm the payment.
5. After paying, you are redirected to the payment gateway, which shows you the payment status

💡 GoPay tip:
When filling in the payment details, watch out for typos and mistakes. Without the correct details the payment cannot be matched and the merchant will not receive your money.
