Saving a payment card and one-click payment

At the GoPay payment gateway you do not have to look up and type in your payment card details for every purchase. The payment can be made with practically one click thanks to the save card feature. How does it work?

Saving a payment card

During your first card payment you have the option to save your payment card for all future payments with all GoPay merchants.

To save the payment card, tick "Save card" before paying.

After clicking "Pay", you verify the payment in your bank's 3D Secure centre (i.e. using your bank's mobile app).
Once verification is complete, confirmation of the payment is shown.

You complete the saving process by entering your email and phone number and confirming with "Save card".

Paying with a saved payment card

Paying is more convenient with a saved payment card. You avoid having to type in your card details.

The payment gateway automatically recognises that a payment card is saved under your email. You sign in to the saved card by entering the 4-digit code we send to the phone number you provided.

If you have several saved cards, you select the one you want to pay with.

If you have only one saved payment card, click "Pay".

You then simply confirm the payment in your bank's 3D Secure centre (i.e. confirm it in the bank's mobile app) and the payment is done!

💡 GoPay tip:
Paying with a saved payment card saves you up to 23 extra clicks.

Is it safe?

Security comes first for us. Here are a few important things worth knowing about the save card feature.

1. You can opt out at any time

You can delete a saved payment card at any time. To delete a signed-in card, go to the payment gateway and choose "Menu" -> "Saved cards" in the top right corner.
Or simply contact our customer support at [email protected].

2. 3D Secure

We use 3D Secure to strengthen the overall security of payment card access. Having our own control over the MPI (merchant plug-in) component, which communicates with Visa and Mastercard, allows us to activate this protection as needed based on the payment amount or other security rules.

3. Strong data protection

Your payment card is safe with us. We meet the international PCI DSS Level 1 security standard, the highest level of data security in the financial sector. All personal information is encrypted using the most advanced encryption mechanisms (TLS).
