What is Apple Pay and how does it work?
Apple Pay is a payment method that allows easy payments using a card stored in Apple Wallet.
When paying, the payment card details are passed directly from Apple Wallet and the customer does not even have to have the card with them. If they do not have a card stored in Apple Wallet, they will be offered the option of adding a new card at the gateway.
💡 GoPay tip: A payment using Apple Pay is de facto a payment card payment. That is why GoPay's fees for a payment via Apple Pay are the same as the fees for a card payment. Recurring and pre-authorised payments are available in the same way
How do I activate Apple Pay in the GoPay business account?
IMPORTANT: Are you already using the new GoPay business account? To activate Apple Pay, please switch temporarily to the original interface.
To be able to offer Apple Pay, you have to agree to the Apple Pay terms and activate the use of Apple Pay in the original GoPay business account.
How to do it
Log in to your GoPay business account. Go to Settings (1) and select the Apple Pay (2) tab. Click the I agree (3) button to confirm your agreement to the Apple Pay terms of service. Apple requires this consent.
Once you have given your consent, you will be able to activate Apple Pay for your portals. To activate it, click the Change status (4) link.
Click the Activate (5) button to activate Apple Pay on your portal.
Once the settings have been made correctly, a confirmation message will be displayed. You can deactivate Apple Pay on a given portal again using Change status in these settings.
