What is Apple Pay and how does it work?
Apple Pay is a payment method that enables easy payments using a card stored in Apple Wallet.
When paying, the payment card details are securely transferred directly from Apple Wallet, so the customer does not need to have their physical card with them. If no card is stored in Apple Wallet, the payment gateway will offer the option to add a new card.
GoPay Tip: Payment via Apple Pay is essentially a card payment. Therefore, GoPay fees for Apple Pay are the same as standard card payment fees. Recurring and pre-authorized payments are also supported.
How to activate Apple Pay in your GoPay merchant account?
IMPORTANT: Using the new GoPay Business Account? To activate Apple Pay, please switch to the original dashboard temporarily.
To offer Apple Pay, you need to accept the Apple Pay terms and activate Apple Pay in your GoPay merchant account.
How to do it?
- Log in to your GoPay merchant account. Go to Settings (1) and select the Apple Pay (2) tab. Click the I Agree (3) button to confirm acceptance of the Apple Pay terms. This consent is required by Apple.
- After giving consent, you will be able to activate Apple Pay for your portals. To activate it, click the Change state (4) link.
- Click the Activate (5) button to enable Apple Pay on your portal.
- Once the setup is completed successfully, a confirmation message will be displayed. You can deactivate Apple Pay for the given portal at any time using the Change status option in the same settings.
